Resources for Search Committees When engaging in the faculty search and screen process, it is important to understand how implicit bias and other factors may impede the cultivation of a diverse hiring pool of candidates. These resources are provided to increase self-awareness in search committee members as they strive to execute a fair and equitable search process.
Resources for Graduate/Professional Students and Postdocs Faculty diversity begins with a diverse community of graduate, professional, and postdoctoral students. Faculty Affinity Groups IUPUI has a long history of affinity groups whose missions serve faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Many of these groups were formed as faculty and staff councils in response to the needs expressed by diverse student populations and thus are attuned to matters of social justice and institutional accountability pertaining to the value of diversity.
