Faculty Development and Engagement
The Office of Academic Affairs supports the university's strategic goals by offering guidance and educational opportunities to academic units. We serve as a key resource for administrators, faculty, and staff on hiring practices, process, and leadership development.
Faculty Recruiting, Hiring, and Retention
Academic Affairs provides support and resources for faculty recruitment, hiring, retention, and professional development. We offer guidance to search and screen committees to help strengthen our faculty and enhance the campus community.
Our office provides strategic development, administration, and evaluation of comprehensive education opportunities among all faculty ranks and we provide campus-level training in academic units engaged in hiring, promotion and tenure decisions, teaching, and mentorship.
Faculty Resources
IU Indianapolis provides support for faculty success through opportunities that provide mentorship, research support, professional development, and recognition of scholarly excellence.
Next Generation 2.0 Update
The IU Indianapolis Next Gen 2.0 program will be on pause for the 2025-2026 academic year as we take time to reassess and reimagine its structure to better align with faculty and staff needs and institutional goals.
We appreciate the support of our participants, board members, and campus partners and look forward to sharing updates on future opportunities.
