This message was sent to faculty at IUPUI, IUPUC, and IUFW who taught in the spring 2020 semester (except the School of Medicine).
Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer
Colleagues,
As we begin to transition to the start of the fall semester, I write with results from the COVID-19 Transition Needs Survey. Instructors at IUPUI, IUPUC, and IUFW who taught during the spring 2020 semester were sent the survey in early May to better understand their needs during the pandemic and having to convert their courses to an online format. You can find the survey report here.
I’m happy to say that more than half of the instructors responded and provided valuable information that will help us and you in planning for the fall semester and beyond.
Please review the report and let me know of any questions or concerns. We will plan to discuss it during the faculty town hall meeting on August 20 at 2 p.m. You can also share questions with me when you register for the town hall in the space designated for questions.
Thank you so much for all you are doing in planning to welcome our students back to campus. I know this is a challenging time for everyone, so I want you all to know how much we appreciate your hard work. I especially hope you have had some time to spend resting, reading, or enjoying other interests.
I look forward to sharing more with you at the town hall on August 20.
Sincerely,
Kathy E. Johnson, Ph.D.
Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer
