Faculty Bonuses
A "bonus" is a one-time payment, separate from annual increases, mid-year base salary increases, administrative supplements, or overload payments. The IUPUI Faculty Guide (p. 60) provides a description of the policy requirements for bonuses; units also need to determine their own fiscal situations.
The essential elements are:
- Only full-time faculty are eligible.
- There must be a school-level policy in place, approved by the school's faculty governance mechanisms.
- This policy must be filed with and approved by the Office of Academic Affairs and Finance and Administration.
- There is a limit of 10% of one's base salary on increases.
