eDocs

Employee actions for all IUPUI/IUPUC academic appointments (paid/unpaid) are handled electronically in HRMS through our office via an electronic document, referred to as an eDoc. Edocs are initiated at the School/Department level and once submitted, route through a pre-set chain of approvers and are finalized by our office. As final approvers, we have the responsibility of ensuring that the information and/or transaction in each edoc is correct and meets university policies. Once we approve the edoc, it is saved into a database, creating a permanent record for each academic employee.

Valid Job Combination Matrix
The valid job combinations schedule shows which combinations of Academic appointments can be held in conjunction with other types of jobs. Please note that appointed position combinations cannot exceed 1.0 FTE.


System Online Support (SOS)
An online tool for edoc Initiators/Approvers that provides steps and general guidelines on how to process edocs.


HRMS Academic Edoc Training
Training is available for those who process edocs for Academic appointments.
