New Dean Orientation
Each year, Academic Affairs, through the Faculty Appointments and Advancement office, conducts a new dean's orientation. This generally occurs in the summer but an additional orientation is held in January if new deans are hired off cycle. Topics for the orientation include an overview of the Dean's role at IUPUI, Responsibility Centered Management and Budget Planning, as well as advice from seasoned deans. Associate Deans are also invited to these sessions.

This program provides new deans with critical information about IUPUI and their roles and responsibilities as campus leaders. Responsibility centered management and budget planning issues and as well as guidance from current deans will be presented.
