Back to the Basics of Promotion and Tenure
This program will review the rank expectations and the criteria to achieve promotion and/or tenure at IUPUI. In addition, various campus resources available to help support candidates in their pursuit of promotion and/or tenure will be identified and discussed.
Midway to Tenure
This program is designed to help junior faculty reflect on the outcomes of their three-year review, build and strengthen their promotion portfolio, and prepare for the promotion and tenure process to ensure success in that endeavor.

New Faculty Plan Now for Success
This program will provide new faculty with an overview of the promotion and tenure process as well as strategies to begin the journey toward promotion and tenure. Guidance on how to develop a plan for promotion will be provided.

Alt Metrics (Public Scholarship/Civic Engagement)
Academics must provide evidence to demonstrate the impact and outcomes of their scholarly work. This hands-on workshop, facilitated by reference librarians, will help faculty explore various forms of documentary evidence to support their case for excellence. Limited attendance.
Promotion in the Clinical Ranks
Clinical faculty must demonstrate excellence in either teaching or service. This workshop will present the criteria for promotion in the clinical ranks and how to organize information and evidence to make a solid case for excellence in teaching or service with satisfactory performance in the other category.

This program will review the criteria, expectations, and evidence necessary to achieve promotion to full professor. In addition, effective methods to demonstrate excellence in the selected area of endeavor and the impact of academic work will be discussed.

Promotion to Senior Lecturer
This program serves to provide guidance on how to best prepare an effective dossier to support promotion to senior lecturer. Presenters, including a panel of successful senior lecturers, will present the criteria for promotion to senior; will discuss how to develop an effective statement of teaching philosophy; and will provide advice on how to effectively document a case for teaching excellence.
